Who We Are:
Teller Senior Coalition (TSC) stands as a beacon of hope and assistance for older adults aged 60 and over in Teller County. Our mission is to empower seniors to maintain their independence and dignity, allowing them to thrive in the comfort of their own homes.
What We Achieved in 2023:
Throughout the year, TSC has been steadfast in its commitment to serving the needs of our senior community. Here's a snapshot of our accomplishments:
Case Management: Our dedicated team provided 1,488 hours of personalized case management, ensuring our clients received tailored solutions to address their unique needs.
Transportation Assistance: TSC facilitated 11,264 door-to-door transportation trips, ensuring seniors had access to vital services such as medical appointments and grocery shopping.
Safety-related Handyman Support: We dedicated 78 hours to providing safety-related handyman support, enhancing the safety and security of seniors' homes.
Homemaker Services: TSC delivered 1,502 hours of homemaker services, helping seniors maintain clean and healthy living environments.
Nutritional Support: We delivered 11,662 meals to seniors, ensuring they received the nutrition necessary for their well-being.
Respite Care: TSC provided 1,287 hours of respite care for caregivers, offering them much-needed breaks while ensuring their loved ones receive proper care.
Monthly Food Boxes and Food Pantry Support: Through our programs, we provided essential food assistance to low-income seniors, distributing 285 Monthly Food Boxes and 642 bags of food.
Reassurance Calls: We made 1,376 reassurance calls to check on the welfare of isolated seniors, providing companionship and support.
Holiday Meals and Heating Assistance: TSC delivered almost 100 Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday meals, bringing warmth and joy to seniors during the festive season. Additionally, we facilitated heating assistance to low-income older adults through Colorado Energy Outreach.
Social Activities: Our organized social activities, including Bingo, Coffee, and Donuts, as well as monthly trips to local attractions, provided opportunities for seniors to interact with peers and combat social isolation.
